Sunday 3rd January - walks *** – Around Felixstowe – rainy but
mild.
Was tempted by a windsurf foil at Levington as the temperature was a balmy
11 degrees but we had a lot of rain and we were having our Granddaughter,
the lovely Maeva for the day so I decided to give sailing a miss! She
arrived at 11.30 and we had loads of fun with puzzles and her favourite
books playing spot the duck, she was full of giggles too. She then
discovered a chair and small table made by Mags Dad for our boys when they
were small and played with her books there while I made lunch. Then with a
break in the rain we decided to risk a walk heading first down to Lidl for
a few things, Maeva had a ball when I got her out of the buggy to push the
large basket on wheels around the shop filling it with large bags of
crisps:) Maeva then didn’t want to get back in the buggy so we walked
through Langer Park for a go on the swings which she also loved. With Maeva
back in the buggy we cut through to Felixstowe prom as the light rain
returned with some cool noisy waves rolling in, Maeva was once again keen
to get out of her buggy but we decided against it and after a quick trip
around the pier it was up the hill and home for a welcome cuppa and a
biscuit. More fun on the settee with books before her Dad came to pick her
up so despite of the bad weather we had a wonderful day:)
